Shasta Speedway Preview
Redding, California (May 1, 2026) - Jan's Racing has headed north as the ARCA Menards Series West returns to Shasta Speedway in Anderson, California, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, for the Bill Schmitt Memorial 173. This event is part of a special "ARCA Night in America" doubleheader, promising thrilling short-track racing with the green flag scheduled to wave at approximately 8:30 p.m. PT.
"ARCA Night in America" on Saturday, May 2, 2026, features a doubleheader with the ARCA Menards Series East at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and the West Series at Shasta Speedway. Both races will be streamed live on FloRacing and simulcast on the NASCAR Channel.

"Excited to head to Shasta. It’s my first time ever racing and ever making laps in a racecar there. Obviously, the season hasn’t been how I’ve wanted it to start but it hasn’t been for a lack of effort. We as a team worked really hard in the shop the past few weeks putting our full effort into making this race the best we can. Hoping to go out there and do what we do best as a team."

"I'm really looking forward to going to Shasta, after the big win at, Tucson, we have a lot of momentum. I believe we will be really fast. I will have my spotter Ron Norman and my crew chief Chris Greany, I think we have been working really well together. I really have to thank them as well as Jan Quakenbush and the team for the opportunity. I have to thank the crew and the guys at the shop like Keith, John, Joey and everyone that helps on the car including Charolett for taking care of my tires.
